kicker motor?

    hi..i just picked up a 18ft lund expolorer w/ a 115 merc 4 stroke…haven’t really played around with it to much yet…any ideas out there if you think i’ll need a kicker with this one to be able to forward troll around 2 mph?…thanks a lot!!!!

    I have a 1775 w/115 Merc 4-stroke. Forward troll is 2.5 – 2.8 GPS. Added a T8 for a slower trolling speed and the convenience of a tiller.

    If you don’t need to go slower than 2mph, then most likely it will work. I can get my Yammy down to 2.1 with a drift sock out the front. However, that’s just too fast this time of year and in the fall for my style of fishing. I ended up getting the kicker this spring. Good luck with the new boat!!!
