    Hey Steve!
Nice to meet you today! I was bored and didn’t really know what Drew and I should do. So we took a road trip and ended up at Everts. Steve was busy getting things ready for the move but took time out to chat and gave Drew some free candy. You should have seen what Drew looked like by the time he finished that snicker bar

So now that I’ve officially met you Steve I can say “good luck” and enjoy Duluth. Just from the small amount of time I spent today I can tell Everts is losing a real good guy. Take care sir!

    Steve,
A couple miles north of your (about 100 or so) up by Aurora is a lake called “Whiteface reservior”. PM me and I will tell you about the monster pike (they average one in the 30lb range every year) in there……..and the awesome eye fishing, along with tuna crappies (2.3lb was my largest) and pie plate sunnies…….BUT, it is a hard lake to fish…….

I don’t think I will be able to make it this weekend either but I plan on seeing you next Thursday at the resort. Maybe I can find a couple of packs of Garlic Balls to grill and some Leinie to sip for sure. There are a lot of great spots to fish up around the Duluth area. I grew up in that neck of the woods and can point you in the right direction for some easy shore, or boat fishing. Where abouts will you call home up there ?
Take care and see ya next week.

Best of luck Steve, We will all miss ya. I think they should consider Big B for your replacement. He likes to be around fishermen and he isn’t worth a crap at the job he has now!

Steve! Sorry to see you go. It’s been great getting reports from you early in the year on if the ice is out or how the ramps are?

Who will be taking your place as manager? Didn’t read if it was posted earlier about who it was so forgive me if it is.

I can’t make it this Saturday as I’ll be pre-fishing for a bass tourney on P2 but I wish you well. If you need help on anything in Duluth let me know. My brother lives there and is in charge of the ATV and Sno-mo trails. I’m sure he’s got connections with stuff.

    Take care

PS…..Gary will be picking up that 4hp Force motor that Bluefleck dropped off from AmWatson for me a few weeks ago there? Thanx again.

Sorry to see you go buddy!
Like Tuck said, now we have a new set of eyes and ears for the St. Loius river and the north shore bite. I am sure we will find time to come up and visit/fish!

See you Saturday night Steve and Amber!

Farewell Steve and Amber. You ran a well maintained and freindly resort and it was always nice to do busness there. So what resort are you going to be taking care of up on the north shore. If it caters to walleyes and trout I will be there.

Good luck with your new adventure. Hope to see you every now and again.

How about the St. Louis River reports Bud? [HINT HINT] Steve it sure would be great to see you stay on staff and doing some reports up there. It would be a great way to keep in touch.
    Thanks, Bill

I think I better get settled into the new house, unpacked and find a job before I get too much fishing in up there….or I might be looking for another new house before I get settled into the first new one.

I would like to thank everyone that chipped in to purchase the Red Wing Pottery and the St. Croix fishing rods! I was told that they were from “everyone”. So THANKS! I haven’t been able to surf IDA the past couple months due to the busy season and the whole moving/house buying thing. I will be much more active again, once I get settled in and catch up with things. Thanks again to everyone for all your well wishes, support and kind words. Cya all online…if not on the water! My last day of work here will be this wednesday (May 4th). Please give Dean Marshall “Fishmar” a warm welcome when you see him at the resort. He will do a fantastic job! He has some fantastic ideas/improvements in mind for the resort that I think everyone will love! Cya.

    Steve,
Hey good luck up there! I’ve been pretty darn busy myself lately so haven’t had any time to hit the river for over a month . Always enjoyed parking the boat and BS’ing with ya during those mid day lunch breaks. Sounds like you guys definitely left the resort in good hands with Dean. Take care!!
