i fished in a 14′ 1974 crestliner aluminum boat and caught alot of eyes but i also missed out on alot of good chops on the lake. Now momma finally gave me the go ahead to get a little bigger boat. my first start up boat is a 1994 crestliner nighthawwk 1640 dlx. my question is anyone have an experience with this boat i have a 40 horse mariner pushing it. bottom line to me it doesnt matter how big the boat is but how many eyes are in the bucket!!!

    Welcome to the site eyedog
I have never owned a crestliner but I did have a 95 60hp mariner on a 1660 pro v and never had a problem with it.
You are right about the boat though ,I have had a lot of boats ,some modest and some as high tec as you can get and I love to buy them and own them but no matter how fancy they are they are just a tool, If you want to know who the real fishermen are ,lift the livewell lid congrats on your new rig
