    OK, PierBridge.

Let’s number the bags from 1 to 10. From bag 1, we take 1 coin. From bag 2 we take 2 coins. From bag 3 we take 3 coins. etc. etc. Until we take 10 coins from bag 10. We put all the coins on the scale and determine the weight. If the 55 coins were genuine they would weigh 275 grams (55 coins times 5 grams/coin) The actual weight will be less than that. Subtracting the actual weight from 275 grams will give you the bag number that the coins are in.

How many times did you have to fill your bong to figure that one out??

Can you get all the bags on the scale at once???

If so you can just take them off one at a time and whichever bag has only a 100 gram impact versus a 125 gram impact on the total is the bag with the counterfit coins.

Very creative, maybe I should have worded it you can only have 1 weight reading.

But what if the bag weights varied from 100 to 200 grams?

Did a little test today! Took a 5 gallon buck full of water weighing 10 pounds. Then took a neutrally bouyant bottle of water weighing 13 oz. placed it in the bucket and it weighed 10# 13 oz.
    We were bored!

If you had a 5 pail full of water, it would weigh more than 10 #’s.

Your bucket was holding 1.1994 gallons of water.

(Rounded off to spare the details.)
