If you are a skeptic, stop in at Evert’s and check out the Polaroid picture taken at the same time. The only thing Steve changed was to resize the pic to fit on this message board! No BS here….that picture has not been doctured.

Awesome looking piggie. If anyone from IDA can verify that it is real then I believe it. The picture doesn’t do it justice because it makes the fish look really fake. The light is reflecting off the fish at a weird angle I guess.

    A fish of a lifetime.

Yep, I agree. I think the flash “washed out” that fish. With all the fake stuff on the net, I can’t blame anyone for questioning it.

Like Mike W said, it sucks when a pic of an 8 looks like a 3. Funny when a 13 looks like a 25! lol

Can one of you guys pull up the photos of the big fish caught down there this spring. It would be cool to see them in the same thread.
Let me know so I can be prepaired with my drool bib.

Rather than get upset and in a pissin match. All I have to say is this. If that pic was doctored in any way other than cropped and resized…may I and everyone reading this fall over dead! If that isn’t enough for you, well then it’s not worth my time! Elbows partly bent….Camera guy close…..makes for a great pic. And now you have the rest of the story.

Steve, you didn’t need to reply…anyone that’s been on the board for a little while or knows you….knows of your integraty.

Since I’ve never seen an ‘eye of that size, much less caught on I would look at the picture for editing too…but because it came from you…I never thought twice about it’s originality.

Thanks for posting the hog! Almost makes a person want to give up…bass fishing I said almost!

Awesome fish- looks longer than 31.5″!! I still like the photo of the one from last year, caught by a guy that works at Cabelas. That was a great photo of a hog!!! Dennis

That is a huge fish. I thought about comparing the photo to my biggest Walleye but turns out that fish in the photo could actually eat my biggest Walleye.

    Great fish!

    Welcome to the board Demo!

Not many folks have a fish picture like that to post …much less their first post!

Did you know it was a big eye right away when you hooked it? Or was it one of those …I’m stuck…back up things. My wife gets mad at me when I see a 5 lber coming to the boat…I get goose bumps…I’m thinking I would have been shaking and once landed…looking for a change of pants…

No editting at all. The guy holding it is rather “not big” so it makes this massive fish look all the bigger. The polaroid in the shop matches the digi photo here perfectly.

I don’t doubt the authenticity of the guy catching the fish in the photo, but that picture has been to the chop shop, no question about it.
I’ll go along with the idea that the original picture probably gave away the location so they changed the background to protect the innocent.
Either way, that’s a huge piggie!
