I say that both 10 and 12 pound is too light for what you want to use it for. “FROGGING in the slop.” I love slop fishing for bass, for me there is not a better time to be on the water. You need equip and line that can handle a big fish in heavy weeds. Your 12 pound line would be okay ‘most’ of the time for bass under 2 pounds, and that is NOT the time to test your line on a heavy fish. My FROGGIN rod is 6’6″ med/hvy, with a 6500C reel(musky reel), and braided Stealth 50 pound test. I’ve NEVER lost a big bass because of equipment failure.
