    I never started any of habits like that.
    To those of you who have quit or are trying like the dickins to quit all I can say is

    I quit 11 years of chewing when the oral surgen cut out my lower gums (lower front 4 teeth) and replaced it with skin from the roof of my mouth! I had worn a little hole in my gum b/c I kept the chew in the same spot. PAINFULL! I decided I didn’t want to go through that ever again.

    During the first two weeks after quiting, I was wearing a patch. I believe it was more mental than anything. One thing about the patch though…YOU HAVE SERIOUSLY INTENSE DREAMS if you leave it on through the night. For real…it even warns you about that on the box!

    It has now been over 3 years since I quit. I still feel the urge but rely on sunflower seeds, especially when I’m fishing with Slop Bass and he’s packin fattie after fattie! Just kiddin Slop…I’m use to it by now.

    I think I’m off to the drug store to buy some patches so I can have some WACKY dreams this weekend! Try it…it’s pretty cool!!!
