I just saw the post by James. What an awesome fish! In the river, how old would a walleye need to be to reach 30″? Is that a “typical” weight for a fish that length full of eggs?
I just think it’s so amazing that there are fish like that right in my backyard. Thanks again for putting her back.
It would be interesting to know how the populations from different year classes diminish as time goes by. For instance, are there fish a year or 2 older than the big girl in the picture – if so, how big are they? Are there fish A LOT older? What is the life expectancy of the average Walleye in the Mississippi?
