Are there any open ramps other than Everts (in Red Wing)? Assuming it may be crazy or full at Everts this weekend.

    Thanks,

The ramp on the WI channel is the only other open ramp…

What is the name of the WI boat launch on Hwy 63 going towards Red Wing on the smaller river/bridge before getting to the bridge over the main channel of the Mississippi?

Last Sunday I counted 40+ boat trailers and it looked like at least 20 had already left by 1PM.

The unimproved gravel ramp at collvill park is also open.

That’s the same launch James is talking about. I call it either the “63 bridge launch” or “The back channel Launch”

If you are comming up 61 from the south, you might want to check Coleville. The ramp at Bill’s Bay might be open.

Funny, we posted about the same time! I always call that ramp the “Bills Bay” ramp. Thanks for the heads up.

I’ve been to Everts on some crazy busy weekends. I have never been outright turned away or thought to myself “Man, I should have gone somewhere else”! Right now Everts is the only access with docks, fresh bait and good advice and put in right where you can start fishing!

Yep, I’ve been to Evert’s too, when it has been “crazy busy”, but there is always good, safe parking, good bait, and good people.

For $7, I will always launch there, rather then at the rocks at the public access……Come later spring, Bay point and Colville really fill up fast, making you park a long ways away. There too, I will still go to Evert’s just for ease, comfort, and convenience.
