First post and I figured this was as good as any to jump in on. I go out to catch fish. I find myself using plastics much more than live bait. Even though I have put someone through their first year of college with all of the Super Doos and Ringworms I have purchased from B-Fish-N, I still take along a few minnows. Many times I throw soft plastics on one rod and deadstick or drag live bait on the other. Many times I catch trophies on the plastic and eaters on the live bait. Some days it flip-flops. I will agree that plastics are nicer to work with. No more cold hands and I can also change colors in a hurry. I just like that tug on the line and I will use whatever the fish hit on that day. I always start with plastics but I will switch to minnows if I have to. I don’t want to handicap my day of fishing by not having the right bait.
Glad to be here,
