Used Motor

    I recently got a 14 foot aluminum boat from my father’s uncle. I’m looking for a used motor to put on it. Nothing big, somewhere around 10 horses. What I’m wondering is, how much should I expect to pay for that kind of motor. I really have no idea and don’t want to get ripped off. Also are there any good places I can go to and look for motors? I live in Rochester so if you know of anyplace in the surrounding area it would be much appreciated.

    Wow, in that are those motors are tough to find.

    I am originally from Winona and now live in SE Wisconsin. Used stuff from about 10HP to 25 HP goes almost immediately but let me suggest a few places. Smitty Marine in Lake City, Mn., Dick’s in Winona, Doerfelder’s in Winona and Stark’s Marine in Prairie De Chien. You also might want to try Ebay. The 10 and 15 HP older Evinrudes go quick, but are very dependable and easy to fix should you have a problem.
