I went out of the 494 launch yesterday and it was great. Just a little snow along the edges of the ramp but it was ice and snow free to launch a boat. After today most the snow will be gone.

I was at the St. PAul ramp this morning and its in perfect condition if you want to launch in this section of the river today. The 494 ramp has a temporary closure for March 22..(today) but will remain open as far as I know after that.

I cannot lie….it was me. Mike, do not kid yourself…you are a tremendous nut!

I will be checking tomorrow am to see if the 494 ramp road will be open. I will report back early tomorrow am!

Don’t forget to tell her that you’re still crazy … just in a “different” sort of way!

A little update on the 494 ramp. As of this AM. The crew had marked the sign to be closed March 23 instead now. No idea if the ramp will be open in the near future. My guess is that they have the road closed due to over head crane operations for the day and do not want any lower traffic to be in danger. I would guess the ramp will be open for you tomorrow.

Good luck and let us all know how you do.

I should have a fishing report up tonight or tomorrow am.

FYI-Lilydale is 80-90% ice free. There is a small patch on one side, 100% lauchable for any size boat.
