Fish, I believe it was in last Sundays State Journal, that they showed all the increases, as I recall most went up, but I believe the Patron Lic. stayed at $140.
jhalfenPosts: 4179March 19, 2005 at 2:48 pm #350863Those are the proposed license fees for next year. The DNR fees are part of the WI state budget which is months away from being passed (normally during the summer sometime). Thus, this year’s fees are the same as last year.
March 19, 2005 at 4:38 pm #350883I live in Lansing and get a nonresident Wis. which runs out the end of this month. Have a lifetime Iowa license. I don’t ever worry about that raising. But it did coast me 70.00. My nonresident if they don’t raise it costs 34.00. But really I don’t mind. It is still far cheaper than paying a fine and losing privalege to fish.

When you stop and think about it 34.00 is pretty darn cheap for a whole years of fishing for a license. If a person were to take someone out for a steak dinner you would very easy pay that and maybe more in just one meal. If it helps to put more fish in waters to help me and others enjoy the year of fishing more then I pay it without complaining. I love to fish and I want to catch fish and also enjoy just being on the water too so the license fee to the DNR helps make that all possible. I will be buying both a Minnesota license [already have] and a Wisconsin license [end of this month] again this year.
Thanks, BillMarch 21, 2005 at 5:36 am #351140Same as last year. Resident fishing is $17.
Nonresident 4 day is $18
Nonresident 15 day is $24
Nonresident annual is $40You can purchase a WI license NOW for the 2005 year (which expires March 31st 2006). It is valid from TIME OF PURCHASE.
Please help out us license vendors and don’t wait till the last minute to get a license. Saves a lot of headaches for vendors and time on the water for fisherpersons! .
One last thing….Minnesota residents MUST HAVE a Minnesota license and Wisconsin residents MUST HAVE a Wisconsin license to fish MN/WI border waters. I sell Wi license only, NOT Minnesota. Just trying to save people time and frustration.
