What a great game today. Illinois is obviously a better team and a deserved #1; but Minnesota has to be considered the biggest shock of this season. Who would have thunk the Gophs could even give Illinois a game? And the Gophs might even go a ways in the NCAA tourney! Exciting stuff!

Coming from an Illini fan, I hope Illinois doesn’t get Minnesota in their bracket. Great D today by Minnesota!

Thursday morning my trick back decided to act up. First time thats happenned in quite a while. For a change, there is something decent to watch on TV while I’m recovering.
Some of these basketball games have been absolutley great to watch. While the Minnesota-Illinois game didn’t come down to the wire like so many others, it was still a really good game and I’m very impressed with how the Minnesota team has bounced back and improved as the season progressed.
I’m a full blown Badger fan. It was a huge victory for the Badgers when they beat Indiana in the 2nd last game of the regular season. We knew right then and there that we would not be in the same bracket as Minnesota, who we do not match up with very well at all.
The Big Ten still has five very good teams to represent it in the NCAA’s but they are going to have their work cut out for them. (Illinois, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa) There are so many talented teams out there in the other conference’s that can really bring it.
Louisville, NC State, Villanova, W. Virginia, Georgia Tech…..the list goes on and on of really good teams just waiting to make there move in the NCAA tournament.
In the end, only Illinois really has much of a chance to go anywhere in this tournament.

Just back from the Big Ten tournament. Like the Hawks, couldn’t make the finals. Considering all the adversity this year, they made a great tournament showing. Hoping for their pick to the NCAA’s and with all but one coming back, “can’t wait ’til next year”. Great tourney and for now, “Go Badgers!”.

Just watched the championship game between Wisconsin and Illinois. What a disappointment! Both teams looked tired.
Other than the Michigan-Northwestern game, it was probably the worse game of the Big Ten tournament.
These guys better get some rest. Hope they play alot better next week. There going to have to if they want to keep playing.
