Wisconsin Trailer Licensing?

    I have a question for the Wisconsin boat owners. Do you have to license your boat trailer in the state of Wisconsin?

    Only if it’s over 3000lbs….so basically no

    As slop said..BUT, you can license it if you WANT to if its under 3000 lbs.

    I know I didn’t have to buy one for mine…I believe Slop is right, 3000lbs sounds right.

    I used to live in Madison and I did not have one for my 14′ boat. If you travel out of the state often you may want to get one. If for no other reason than to NOT be stopped along the way.
