Just for all you guys itchin to do some troutin’… with the sunny,late winter days, there have been some pretty decent fish moving out of the deeper holes and into the faster,shallower runs… Was down in n eastern Iowa yesterday… caught 7 trout…3bow bows, 3brownies and 1 brook. Sorry no pics yet, kinda new to the sight, and stll haven’t quite figured out how to get them out of my digital camera and on to this but am working on it!!!!!!!!!! 
Welcome to the site. Good to hear u had some good trout fishing. I have wanted to go out and give it a try but have been icefishing instead. I may try and get out this week. FYI under the Iowa forum there is a trout stream section 
Way to go did they increase the limit on trout it was only 5 last year.
I live in NE Iowa, you can catch as many as you want but you can only keep 5. Some of our streams here are catch and relese only.No they did not up the limit.
I use a little yellow hair jig. works well in big pools.thought you would like to know.
