I just got my new underwater viewing system from Scott. My question is how long do you charge it? I pluged it in and the light is green and there is no indication that it is done charging. Thanks steve

I forgot to add that I have been charging it over night starting at about 7 o’clock. I thought that it would be done charging.

My first charge took over 30 hours on that Marcum.

My first charge was over a day as well. If I recall correctly, the camera instructions indicate that the first charge does take a long time.

I’m not real familiar with the system you’re refering to exactly, but I’d reccomend getting marcum’s new charger (DCS) that has a little digital display for the charger, and automatically charges the battery when it needs it, and doesn’t charge when it doesn’t need it, so you can always leave it plugged in and not worry about not being charged 100% or worse overcharged, it’s always 100%, perfect simple and so easy to use a caveman could use it. Oh you buy the chargers from marcum directly or I’ve seen and purchased them in stores (gander mountain) though I bet other stores carry them too, they run $30 or so, and are worth every penny.

Guys, I have let it charge sinceMonday at 7pm and it is still charging, what do I do unpluge it and call the dealer or let it go. It is bothering me since spend that kind of money and I don’t want to screw it up. I no that I should buy the other charger but it shouldn’t happen on the first charge. Any info will help me out I am going to let it run the rest of the night and if it is not running I don’t no what to do.

First, did you hook up the battery? Don’t laugh, most people forget.

Second, unplug it and run the thing. Run it for several hours. The first charge on the cameras seems to take a long time. I recommend you use it, run the battery some and see if it is taking charge before you do anthing else.

Put it back on the charger and see if it charges. You could have a bad charger (the part that plugs into the wall)-I have heard of two others that had this problem.

If it is bad, let me know.

My OVS has been charging since Thrs @ 8pm and will turn on but won’t show anything on the screen (yes the battery and camera are hooked up )If the charger is plugged into it it will give me a fuzzy picture. The green light on the charger is on…..does that mean it’s still charging or that it’s done? If it’s done charging we have a problem. Over 40 hours of charging and it still isn’t charged????
