I am heading to kabetogama Lake in the meddle of June for the first time. I was woundering if anyone out there had any info that I could go off of. This is one lake that I don’t have a clue what to use or where to go. Are there rock that I have to watch out for that are not marked or is it wide open?

Rock = Yes but they generally are marked. They also have Green and Red Buoys of which you need to boat through. The Lake at times can be very good for Walleye but other times down right tough. The bite for the most part is an early evening bite but if you focus on cuts connecting the different bodies of water (ie – different lakes) you can still catch eyes in the middle of the day. If your after Northerns and Bass this Lake is very good.

This is a nice lake to fish! my wife and i where there the lastweek of july and fishing was very good. some rocks but after a day learning the lake i got around without any problem pick up a hotmap watch your depthfinder and youll do fine. i found that most people fish for eyes on a big flat in middle of the lake jiging live bait. but i also had success trolling cranks a the edge of this flat and on points. caught lots of eyes to big to keep 22″-24″ but lots of fun! also seen bear, eagles in nests, and deer on the islands. Check it out!!
