I am looking for a local club to join. What can anyone tell me about the MN Valley In Fishermans Club? Are they open to new members? How often do they get together? What activities do they do?

Another option would be Walleye Searchers of Mn. if you want to try fishing some tournaments as they draw partners at the meetings for the tournaments. You don’t have to attend the meetings to fish. All you need to do is contact a club officer or other member ”before” the meeting to have them put your name in for the tournament. Membership dues are only 25.00 per year. We have some members from the Twin Cities and also from Wisconsin who belong too.
    Thanks, Bill

Thanks Bill. I have looked at this club before, but would prefer something a little closer to home to ensure I make the meetings. Sounds perfect otherwise….

Thank you. Had seen the post; was curious more about the club itself. Any info would be appreciated.

Are you looking bass, walleye, or multi species?

Sorry, Mike, should have been more specific. Walleye.

If you can make it you should go to the AV In-Fisherman meeting when Dee Zee is speaking. They are a really nice bunch of guys. I think their club is multi species. The boy and I went when Steve was giving a presentation and everyone treated us great. I don’t remember alot of the details—they kind of lost me when they talked about fishing “a lake”. We may go have another look this month, maybe see you there.

My ”guess” is Steve will be spend some time talking about the river too as he spends alot of time fishing the river.
    Thanks, Bill

    hi Dr Hook,
will send you a PM here in a moment and give you my phone no. so we can talk about my club. I have been a member for over 10 years, and really enjoy it. we go out every month. Ice fishing in January, and end up in Dec on usually Pool 4. We fish about 15 Outings a year, and I do the drawing for partners at the monthly meetings. We keep a point scoring system for just about every species from BlueGills to Muskies. after yearly dues of 30 dollars, there are no money events. Just a bunch of guys who enjoy fishing together. Send me your address and I can send you a copy of our newsletter, the Weedline. The Steve that Redneck was referring to was Steve Vick who gave us a seminar a couple months ago and did a very good job for us. Steve DeZurik will be at our meeting 2/22 doing a program for us during the second part of our meeting. Will talk soon. Jack..
