    Here I sit, tackle surrounds me, rods and reels cleaned, oiled, new line on reels and ready to go. Warmer weather outside…..is it open water season yet?

    I sure wish it was. We are getting close to Jan. being over then just get through Feb and things will start looking better in March and then comes April.

    I too am going through walleye withdrawel…..Ieven got the shakes and tremors thinking of my boat just sitting there, begging me to go for a ride. These rods are starring at me with their eyelets, and these jigs, are just bouncing around, like they are practicing. Do I need help or therapy??????

    Axl, I think you need the same therapy we all do, the plunk of a jig or crank slipping into soft water!

    Hopefully the weather will cooperate some and I can get on the ‘sippi in Feb……

    We have no snow left here. The frost is going out fast enough that I sunk my 3wheeler 5 inches going through a bean field to run beaver traps this morning. The river is open and all I can think about is ice fishing.

    Well, today I picked up my boat. It really didnt help matters any! I have a strong feeling it is getting shoved into the water somewhere in next couple of weeks, probably Wisconsin River. I just saw a show with Big Dave walleye fishing on Jan 19th…if he can do it, so can I!

    Ya, been watching the shows for years now, Big Dave seems to always get his boat thur that ice.
