I am trying to plan a trip to red lake. The thing is that I want to take my spouse and twin four year old’s. Can anybody recommend a good place to rent a nice sleeper house with bathroom’s and on fish. I know this is a lot to ask, but I am trying to please everyone going on this trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We will be going during the weekday’s and not on the weekend’s.

I took my wife for her first trip to Red earlier this year. We stayed with Alpine Fish House rentals. They have all brand new houses with portable toilets in each. This was first class for Red Lake from my previous experiences.

I know they are booked on the weekends, but should have vacancies during the week. Jerome, who owns and manages the houses, will make sure you are on fish! If not, he’ll move you to them.

Please give them a try. It will make the trip very enjoyable just haveing a great place to stay.

You can reach them at http://www.royalshooksmotel.com or 888-921-5222.

Let me know how your experience was? We are headed back up the first part of March.

Just finding a place to stay on Red is the hard thing. If it is a nice place that is a bonus. As someone said earlier. Going during the week is your best option if you are looking for a nice place.

    Thanks,
I was just looking for a place that has bathroom’s in the house and probably will be on fish(I know there’s no guaranties). I have heard some stories where the resort just drop’s a house and leaves it so when the fish move out your out of luck. From what I understand from other post you need to be 3-5 miles out to locate fish. Any more input would be great it could be a long trip if the fish aren’t biting with the wife and two four year olds.
