Most times those baits are discontinued, or bad sells. Hold overs are dead money, so they want to get rid of them. Reefrunners, and Storm are usually the ones that are sold off due to over stocking. There is nothing wrong with most of them, other than they just don’t sell well. Watch out for seconds, they are the same as the first runs, but have some small defects, usually a paint smear or a rough edge somewhere.

I always jump on those deals. Never had a problem. Most of the time it’s Rapala’s 3 for $10. Usually not a great color, but nothing a can a spray paint can’t fix!

Burnt bad by a crank bait?
I guess that might be said for at least half the baits in my box.
Just because a bait hasn’t caught a fish, got hung up, or whatever doesn’t mean I got burnt.

The only thing that makes me mad about cheap baits
is if they melt together into a glob in the summer.
