In-depthangling.com (IDA) is pleased to announce the addition of 4 very talented anglers to our Field Staff Team.

Two of our newest additions will help us with one of our faster growing areas of interest here on IDA – the Mississippi River Bass forum. With so much interest in this area and this species, we’re excited to bring aboard 2 anglers that have a lot to offer along the lines of experience, willingness to share and communicate along with endless enthusiasm.

Jeremiah Shaver – A.K.A. Slop Bass is known to many of us here on IDA as he’s been with us for quite some time as a visitor and will be providing insight and information on river bass fishing with a focus on Pools 7 & 8.

Here’s a bit more about Jeremiah, in his own words…

I’ve grown up on the Mississippi since I was 9 years old, so i’ve been fishing it for about 16 years now. In the past few years i’ve gotten big into tournament fishing. I’ll be fishing the BFL and the Fisher’s of Men tourney trails this year, along with several local tournaments (MSBC, BWS) etc.Along with striving to do well in tournaments, I plan on trying to learn as much as possible from the experiences i will be subjected to. I’d like to take those experiences, along with what i’ve learned, and share them with IDA and it’s members so that they can all benefit from whatever I might have learned. If I can share information, or patterns, or hot lures or anything that can help another angler catch fish, then i feel like i’ve accomplished something..That’s what it’s all about, because we are all here for one reason, and that is our love of fishing!!

Ken Warren will also be contributing to the Mississippi River Bass forum with a focus on the pools in Southern Iowa. The addition of more river info from Southern Iowa will be a big boost to IDA as we’ve yet to be able to provide good coverage of pools south of pool 12 or 13.

Here’s a bit more about Ken, in his own words…

I hope to promote myself and the tournament districts I run on the river as well helping sponsors when appropriate.

Scott Ehricke – A.K.A. Axl comes to us from the state of WI and will be providing information and reports from Lake Winnebago and the Winnebago Chain of Lakes. This area represents one of the best fisheries in the state of WI but has been under represented on IDA to this point. Scott’s goal is to help us change that and to turn IDA into your #1 source for Winnebago Chain information!

Here’s a bit more about Scott, in his own words…

I am a guide on Lake Winnebago, and fish almost exclusively for walleyes. I fish 3-4 days a week, so my clients and myself are always finding fish. I run and maintain a personal website for my guide business at http://www.fishingwinnebago.homestead.com

Gary Wellman is a bonefide muskie and pike NUT! He has been visiting with us for a couple years now and has been very helpful with his willingness to share his experience with catching large predators. Gary will be moderating the Metro East & Metro West forums. He has years of experience fishing these areas.

Here’s a bit more about Gary, in his own words…

Caught my first walleye at the age of 8…. got hooked… caught my first pike at the age of 10…. now I’m done for! Over the years I’ve targeted crappies, sunnies and even BULLHEADS. As I got older I picked up on LG Mouth bass and catfish. But today I’m an avid walleye chaser and muskie freak!

I’m a mortgage broker by day so if anyone has need of an honest mortgage consultation, look me up at ” target=”_blank”>http://www.wellmanmortgage.com

Please take the time to welcome these great guys and do not hesitate to call on their knowledge and experience in their given areas!
