Does anyone else on the site use this browser?

A couple of weeks ago I replaced Internet Explorer with Mozilla Firefox and wish I had done so sooner. Not one pop up since installing and my computer seems quicker. I highly recommend doing the same.

I’ve heard good things about it…

Remember, anything non-Microsoft will cause you fewer problems.

Yeah I have firefox loaded on both my computers, but I rarely use it anymore, Internet explorer works pretty darn good now with the SP2, much, much better than it did before. That being said I have a older version of firefox version 0.8 and I’ve “heard” it does not uninstall easily, so it bums me out because I’d like to try a newer version.
Most pop-up are killed mow with IE anyways so there is little reason to switch back, but sometimes.

I switched back from Firefox for two reasons, first and most importanty firefox crashed my computer all the time, for whatever reason, IE was more stabil until the SP2, after which my computer doesn’t crash any more, go figure

Secondly it is slower loading, for whatever reason IE is faster, and yeah, I’m online that much that I know that it really is slower.

But I’d still like to try a newer version if someone would venture me a little help uninstalling my old version.

All I can say is that you get what you pay for.

I would agree as well. I have had ZERO problems with IE, ever. I keep my virus definitions up-to-date and regularly check the Microsoft website for any applicable patches that I might need. It purrs right along to a degree that would keep me from ever considering a change.

Competition like this is a good thing though. It will keep MS cranking out better products to maintain their market share.

    I hate using IE anymore.
IF they ever incorporate tabbed browsing,
I might give them a try, if it doesn’t cost anything.
Microsofts inferior browser doesn’t deserve being a monopoly.
