Seriously, my wife is a pretty good one. Not high maintenance but I have no idea what to get her or both of us for Christmas.
I am pretty cheap, but all ideas are welcome.
Now I know I am opening it up to all sorts of “shots” but this is a serious question!
    Thanks in advance.
This may prevent me from getting

Gift certificate for an hour professional massage. After the massage she will come home feeling WONDERFUL but most of all loving you a little more. Or if that is too expensive just take some time and write a heartfelt letter to her letting her know what she means to you!

The massage thing worked well for me last year. I even have a name for you if you would like to look into it. I believe a 1 hour massage cost around $70.00. PM me if you want a name.
Other wise a new jig pole always is a nice present!

    Jeez guys,

I got my wife a Loomis IM7 baitcast rod last year for Xmas. She loves it! The only problem is that she won’t let me use it.

If you have a bath and body works near you a few different scented lotions are a good start. You can’t go wrong with a pair for quality flannel PJ’s either. Jewelry is always good too you get get some pretty nice diamond earrings for 150 bucks. I’ve never gone wrong with any of these. Got her a Estee Lauder gift pack of perfume, body stuff this yr. thats what she asked for think it was like 80 bucks.

Eeeewwwweee Hextap! That gave sappy a new meaning! They would LOVE it…!

I’m gonna do one for Putz… (did I say that out loud?)

Really I’ve bookmarked it for after the holidays…just not sure for what occasion.

    Great Idea Hex!

Let’s see, what other things were on my list to control damage….

It’s to late to do a family video…with Kenny Rogers singing “Throught the years”…that’s more for anniversaries anyway…

Shoes go over well…if YOU have your wifes taste…that’s were I fail. I alway have a couple $100 gift certificates from Kohls stashed for those “special” moments.

Leather coat…is good too… just need her coat size and it’s a quick pick up on the way home from work….you better pick the right color…black is the in color……AND for HEAVEN’s SAKE don’t make the same mistake I did….make sure the coat goes just past her butt! We like looking at it but they don’t!!!

If you can swing the time off… a quick three day weekend to Vagas is pretty cheap right now…but that really depends on your flexability in scheduling. Flights and hotel is cheap…but you add in the shows and a little gambling…well you know…

I did this personalized book once..for adults…didn’t go over real well…had to use two gift certifiacates to get out of that one…:(

Yup…spa is good! Dave’s (snicker) Diamonds is better

Yeh that Hex, even with that hard rugged outside appearence he truly is a softy inside. He makes Rudoph Valentino look like Al Bundy.

I’m going to do one for Putz….

How did I get into this?

I was only going to suggest a lutefisk and swedish meatball supper at a local Lutheran church. Shee whiz.

    A couple ideas for you.

You could make reservations for a weekend cruise on a riverboat this spring/summer.

If its not a problem for either of you, you could take a hot air ballon ride over the St. Croix River Valley.

You could also buy the two of you matching raingear for when you are fishing together.

    Good luck,

An idea similar to the river boat cruise, which is good, would be a train ride on the Minnesota Zepyer. (spelling?) They like the quality time together.

Now why didn’t I think of that…$50. each..includes dinner and a slow relaxing trip up and down the Croix…out of Stillwater. Many bed and breakfasts to stay at in the area in case you didn’t want to go home the same day…

In fact, the Afton House Inn about 10 miles south of Stillwater has very nice rooms (that ladies like) a great Sunday brunch and a massage place right next door. In case you want to go all out…

The Afton Alps ski area is about 3 miles from there…

My parents have done the zepher…they liked it.
Lots of good ideas….where was this post when I was trying to figure out what to get the Walleye-brat…..oh well…..she is going to have to settle for a roll of chew and a case of shotgun shells.

Buckshot..I’m not even sure if a nice gold and diamond necklace hanging over the roll of chew will help you out…

Might want to put a necklace in the (empty) chew box..

Just trying to help you out…since Stick and Kyle aren’t around…..

She hasn’t been that good this year…actually she has been a very naughty girl this year.
She should be thankful it isn’t a stick and a lump of coal.

I decided to get soft and get something unique. I ended up seeing it at a local mall. It is a picure frame and inside of it, it has a word such as FISHING, or I LOVE U….and so on. The words are cut out so you can put snap shots behind it. I got one that said fishing and put photos of me and my loved one in it from the year. I also got one that said BROTHERS for my mom and my brother and I put pictures of me and him from when we were small to one we just took the other day. These are simple and shows you put thought into things. Women love this!!!!!!!!

I was thinking about ones of those life sized photos of me holding a nice fish. That would look nice hanging on the bedroom wall.

    Great Ideas guys,

    1. I did get her athe manicure and she has not had it done yet.

    2. I work at a fitness center where I have massage done in the room next to mine so she can get that anytime and still has not done it.

    3. We have Zepher tickets from last year we still have not used.

    4. Tickets to Vagas. Really like that but what to do with 3 kids ages 5,3, and 2. Who are hell raisers

    5. Hot air ballon …cool idea until it crashes

    6. Guess we are back to dimonds

Dave,(ecnook) they do make you look great!

    Keep them coming!
