Not sure what to tell you on how to prevent it from happening and haveing to go to little falls. I have had the same probelm on my last 2 boats from Crestliner. It is a hassle to have to waste your time to trailer up there………at least it is for me. Check with them and see if they will pay for your gas and time off work to get it fixed . Good luck with that!

Other than the above problem my last 2 boats from them have been great. Let us now how you come out on this.

How did the cracks start? Did you hit something or is it just from normal wear and tear? Also what size motors do you have on your boat? I am going to be going on my second year and just want to keep an eye on things. Love the boat too.

I just finished my 3rd season. I would love to check for that also. Boat is in storage but need to check in the Spring. I’ve never heard of this problem. I doubt if I’m still covered under warranty but this sounds like a design flaw that C-liner should fix.

Sorry to hear that. I have a 1650 Fish Hawk with a 90HP motor. A few years ago my son hit a wing dam wide open and did about $2,500 damage to the motor. Aside from a few scratches from the rocks, the boat was fine, which amazed me. Nonetheless, I will check the transom.

Regarding the warranty, it is my understanding that as long as you didn’t hit anything Crestliner will cover.

They have repaired it. I was hopeing for a new one from them. Just a little leary!!! They told me it was just in the 2001 and 2002 boats with the 4 strokes.

Mine’s a Tournament Series. Is this issue regarding the Fish Hawks only? Kooty, did you check yours??
