I’ve always wanted to make some whole cranberry cause from scratch. I could ask Betty Crocker her recipe but knowing about the good cooks here at the site i thought i’d ask for one here. Does anybody have a personal recipe for cranberry sauce for the holiday season.

    Glass with Ice
    1 oz Windsor
fill glass half way with 7 up
the rest with charged water (soda water)

Increase Windsor by 1/2 oz in each glass there after.. until you don’t care about making cranberry sauce anymore.

    Sorry.

I use this recipe every time my wife asks me to cook dinner.

Ok . . . don’t laugh that I know how to do this, grandpa was a chef so there

    Whole Cranberry Sauce
    3 cups cranberries
    3/4 cup water
    1-1/2 cups white sugar

Simmer cranberries and water together. While simmering, mash with potato masher. Add sugar; simmer for 10 more minutes, stirring occasionally. Put into container and refrigerate. Makes about 2 cups of sauce.

Only other thing is you have to stay on top of this . . . don’t let your attention wander elsewhere or it will burn on you real fast!!

In addition to mossy dans recipe, you can add a couple teaspoons lemon juice too!

    mossydan:

Start by adding a small amount and then stir/cook it for a few minutes, then taste it. If it needs more, add. If there is a hint of flavor that you are looking for, then you probably have it. You just want to add enough to know it is there, but not overpower the rest of the flavors.

Did you get some made? Have any left over? I got something you’d never think to do……… Glaze it generously over homemade enchaladas!!! I got put up to it yesterday and I was REALLY surprised at how well they blended!

BTW…… did I mention I have no tastebuds? Just kiddin’….. try it ………. and then start putting Peanut Butter on your hamburgers……. and you’ll be well on your way to saying Sheepies are good table fare too!

Hope you had a great day!

Jeesh Kid, thats got me wondering what good ol mom put on the hamburgers she gave us. I have faint memories of watermelon and rubarb, maybe thats why i like to eat sheepies, kinda taste like bass fillets, maybe its my tastebuds. Just kidding
