Today, I went fishing for the last time this year (why, because I hate the cold). I went out with a friend (and local fishing guide) to do some musky fishing. I have been trying to catch a decent/legal size musky since 2000. Today – she finally came. She was beautiful. To hold her and to watch her swim away – I can’t put it into words. She made the day very worth it (it was very cold, windy and it was drizzling). I know she ain’t no 56incher, but being she was my first big one, I’ll never forget this day. What a way to end the year.

Congratulations on your very nice Musky, good for you. . Was it from Milwaukee area ?? Bait or Lure ?? a little fish story/history/trip report would be fun to read. Again, good going. JackNovember 21, 2004 at 3:21 am #328323It was caught at about 10:30 this morning on Pewaukee Lake which is in Waukesha County. We were using suckers and we were drift trolling.

can’t tell but it looks like your posting picture is of an Eelpout, not real sure, sorry if it isn’t. You keep releasing nice Muskies, you may have to file for a name Change ::: MUSKYGIRL, sure has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it. Jack..November 21, 2004 at 4:55 am #328336You GO GIRL!!! Nice CPR Musky…the fish of 10,000 casts. But they are suckers for a Fall sucker!
Thanks for sharing your special catch!
November 21, 2004 at 5:00 am #328337No CarpGirl…I didn’t put Jack up to that…but I should have!
(Jack, I’ve been kidding her about changing her handle for a while…everytime she posts a picture of a fish other than a carp or dogfish (in her mug shot)).WAY TO GO MUSKEYGIRL!!
A muskie doesn’t have to be a record fish to warm you up on a cold day!
Glad to hear that you released her…she’s a beauty!Congrates! Now just 10,000 more casts for the next one!

The posting pic is of a dogfish a.k.a. BOWFIN.I could only wish that I caught enough muskies to change my name.November 21, 2004 at 3:00 pm #328347Quote:

Look at you, always trying to start trouble with me
As for 10,000 more casts, well, I guess I better get out and fish muskies more, then next time it won’t take me another four years.Brian LyonsPosts: 894November 21, 2004 at 4:11 pm #328354Quote:
