did I mention that the St Croix is beautiful right now? and the fishing dont suck either…. dont you love those days when the water is like glass and the mist is gently rising off the river? A friend of mine caught (and released) and 27″ walleye within the confines of THIS shot today!….

Man those are cool picts River eyes, the one with the red leaf on the green moss is almost psychedelic. Great job man, you should open up a shop. or put out a book or something.

If you could turn that 6th pic on its side, it’d look like figure with its arm outstretched.

    Very cool pix.

Forget about you? Not likely! Inspiring as always and I’d have to cast another vote for the maple leaf/moss pic. Very cool and very different. Entering it for anything? I think you should give it a try if you haven’t made any submissions.

thanks for all the very kind words!.. maybe someday I will go for a book!… Im still building my skills but Ive been learning fast and I seem to get better all the time….. Ill sort through my stuff and post some more pix soon… I have hundreds Ive taken recently as everyone around here is saying this is the most beautiful fall in recent (and even distant) memory…. I was out in the rain yesterday trying to come up with some more winners… and actually I ran across a Tiger Salamander… I know they are often considered “bait”… but he made an interesting photo all by himself…..

Those Salamaders are very cool critters. I used to have one as a pet when I was a kid. I had it for what seemed like years. It got to be about 12 inches long. As I recall, it loved nightcrawlers and was very fun to feed. It’s been decades since I’ve seen one in the wild. Thanks for sharing.
