    Ladies and Gents,
Plan on fishing for some cats this weekend. What do you pro’s recommend, deep, shallow, mud, sand, channel, sloughs, structure? Live bait, cut bait, stink bait, or crawlers? Any help would be great. I am taking my godson out for the first time and do not want to go home empty handed. Thanks for the help.

    Jeweler,

Not much of a catfishing expert, but if I really wanted to catch fish I would use a night crawler. Everytime I use a night crawler I atleast catch sheephead. Probably eat the same.

I agree with buckmaster but I would also use some of that berkly powerbait with the liver flavor, and as the depth to fish it at I know at spring I fish at the bottom I suppose it would probably be the same or a foot or so off the bottom

    Jeweler,

Good to hear you took my advice. I like to call the crawler “OLD FAITHFUL”, cause if you aren’t catching anything….just put the crawler on and bam you got yourself a fish. For cats, I like to fish in 15-20 ft. of water and this time of the year current and snags are good. Good luck fishing.
