My Brother In-law was telling me about this game last weekend. He says it’s alot of fun. All sorts of challenges and tournaments and what not. Almost makes me think about going out and getting a PS2!

Ryan HaleSeptember 22, 2004 at 5:43 pm #322106I may have to dig out my PS2 now. BTW, anyone that has a PS2 and a home theatre, those games sound incredible through a home theatre. I highly recommend running the 2 together.
September 22, 2004 at 5:45 pm #322109I have my surround sound hooked up to mine and it is great. I play mine now and then when I see a good game. I have the new ESPN football game that rocks and SOCOM II. The surround sound makes you feel like your in the action.

I would have to say that it is the best fishing game for PS2, but there is not a lot to compare it too. I have been working my way through the tournament trail. So far I had to fish for trout, eyes, crappies, smallies, large mouth, salmon, and still some more to go. Some down sides of the game is there is no trolling motor on the boat, no depth finder (but they give you a guide to help you locate fish and lure type) Of course they also only have rapala lures so no plastic, only cranks and popers. You get to fish out of 2 different lunds with a 225 merc. Like I said this is by far the best fishing game made for PS2, but there is still room in this market for a better, more real tournament situation fishing game. Little off topic, but I would like to see someone create a fishing game where they start you off with an older bass boat and you have to work yourself through the tournament winning money getting sponsors and upgrading gear. Just my thoughts. If you have a PS2 and 30 bucks to blow, I would buy. I have been playing it for a couple weeks and still entertained. Something to get you through the winter months that are ahead
October 5, 2004 at 5:20 am #323264It’s all right, I guess I’m a little unrealistic to actually want real lake looking effect, I mean atleast give me something that looks like Milacs in the game…, it is fun though.
October 6, 2004 at 2:48 am #323352I just got the game…I think the graphics are awesome. Little unrealistic in some ways, but not bad…The only thing is my girlfriend got to play first she so far has caught the biggest bass 30″ 11# Largemouth I’m having some problems with the salmon though. I seem to keep getting the hook tossed….oh well it will make winter seem better….
October 6, 2004 at 3:54 am #323362PS2 has a bass fishing game by Mark Davis. Its ok but the music get old after awhile. You start out with a few lures but you win moreafter you particapate in tournies. I think I found it in a bargin bin for 10 bucks, well worth that.

I had that same problem. I increased my line lbs and then tightend the drag up and used how fast I realed to set the tenision on the line. Seemed to work really well for me.
Just an idea
October 6, 2004 at 4:48 pm #323419I have the game too and I found it tough to get used to the casting at first but after a while I was able to figure it out. The game is actually made by Activision out of Eden Prairie, or at least they have a game development office there. I figure that might even make a few of us buy it since it is created locally.

I fished it this morning and got a couple muskies. They were of a huskey jerk size 10 and fire tiger. I caught it on Mille Lacs. Same With the 5 pound 11 ounce walleye later on. Of a shad rap 5 perch color. I had the same problem with the king salmon in the river. They always throw the hook out. I fished the bass tournament and won it.
