Well I’ll second the idea for our own thread. Is it still true that there are more people on the waiting list for Packer tickets than the Vikes have for season ticket holders??

    Hey Stg. Rock,
Thanks for starting a thread for the cheeseheads. Now you Packer fans can stay off the Viking 2004 thread. Being a die hard Viking fan, I hate to say, congrats to Brett Favre for passing Fran Tarkenton in career victories (126) and passing attempts (6’486). Hope he throws a few “key” interceptions this year, again.

Didnt they contract that team out of the league years ago? GB is too small to support a real franchise.

At last…. a thread to discuss the team on the “right” side of the St. Croix River.

Well McKenzie is back and the Bears are in town. The oldest rivalry in the NFL meets again. Any thoughts?

I’ll put a beer on the Pack, if there’s any takers out there.

I’ll challenge that, I say the bears will win, by three points or more

It certainly was a pitiful showing by the green and gold. Should have gone fishing.

The guy from Green Bay bets against the Pack, and the guy from CR for whom the only thing worse than the Packers is the Bears loses the bet. Harumph.

Well flyfishforsm, you going to make the ice fishing get together? That seems to be the traditional place for backfilling football bets, if I remember correctly.

As much as I want to dance in the delight of GB’s loss yesterday, I’m nervous about tonight’s game. McNabb and Co. can be beat, but MN’s record in Philly isn’t a good one and there’s cornerback issues. I’m just hoping that Moss is as focused as they say, Daunte puts in another strong performance w/o injury or fumble, and the rest of the team just catches the fire of desire! We’ll need some excellent defense to take ‘Nabb off his game.

Anyone want to feel depressed? The Lions are 2-0! Yeeeesh!

It’s always good to see the Pack get beat, even if it’s by the bears. I’m with you Ken, not going to gloat too much, we got a long season ahead of us. The Norris is looking tough so far this year. Go Vikes!!!!!!

Sorry, politics has consumed my interests as of late….. Thought this was funny!

WASHINGTON (AP) – Democratic nominee John Kerry has gotten some grief, both in Wisconsin and nationally, for referring to Lambeau Field as “Lambert Field” during a campaign appearance.

“The next thing is he’ll be convinced Vince Lombardi is a foreign leader,” Vice President [censored] Cheney said.

President Bush offered Kerry some advice during an appearance in Wisconsin this month.

“If someone offers you a cheesehead, don’t say you want some wine. Just put it on your head and take a seat at Lambeau Field,” he said, emphasizing the right name of the Green Bay Packers stadium.
