Three years which still feels like yesterday. So many people affected in so many ways. It is sad that freedom is no longer free! I am saddened by what I lost on 9/11 but ever more thankful for what I have now! God Bless America!

That was an awesome link. It just seems like yesterday like you said. I was watching it remembering where I was and what I was doing. Our lives have changed greatly since that day for the good and worse. Freedom is not free it is earned!!! We as Americans have earned it, and you can never take that away! They messed with the wrong people when they started this. They are unable to earn their freedom so they want to try and steal it from those of us who have it. As in the words of “Tiny Tim” GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF US

I remember that day like it was yesterday. I had never felt so angry, sad, helpless, and scared in my life. Watching this tribute brought back every one of those feelings again. It literally brought tears to my eyes.
Every person who wonders why we have troops in Iraq should stop for a minute and watch this tribute. I think it explains everything real clearly.
    GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Isn’t it too bad that the person behind this “remembrance” failed to recognize that George W Bush, because of his obsession with Sadamn Hussein, has allowed the real attackers on 9-11 to get away. One rarely hears anything at all anymore about Osama bin Laden. And I think even as big an atrocity is that we are still great buds with Saudi Arabia, who produced most of the hijackers, and very likely provided some of the funding. The White House even allowed friends and family of the Saudi Prince to get on special planes and fly out of the country without even doing a thorough check as to their involvement in the attacks. This was allowed when citizens from this country were left stranded all across world, and denied entry or exit out of the US. I certainly hope in everyones moment of patriotism you haven’t lost sight of the truth.

Oh, there are still plenty of U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Check out this web site. defend america. It tells plenty about what the military is doing in the war against terrorism in Afghanistan as well as in Iraq. It is updated daily and contains some very interesting info.

I don’t give a damn what they say, sometimes the best defense is a good offense. Even if it is just a pre-emptive strike that is fine by me.

Guys don’t get me wrong on this. I know why we are in Iraq. I also know that we started out in Afganistan to get Bin Laden. Now it seems you never hear about the fight there and the guys getting killed. It just seems to be Iraq, Iraq, Iraq….I understand the quotes and everything clearly. It is the Media that I’m mad at really.

    Right on Gator!

We got complacent in America prior to 9/11 thinking no one would dare attack us at home! Our presence in Iraq is proactivity to eliminate this kind of terrorism from happening again….whether you choose to link Al Quaida and Sadaam is mute! Sadaam would have stopped at nothing to achieve his personal satisfaction of ruining America’s and his own peoples freedom!

    Dude,

It is all media……………Did you know that there is daily gun fire accros the DMZ between north and south Korea? Each and every day, gun shots are fired…….from both sides.

Do you want to hear a bigger threat………It is common knowledge in the military that North Korea can storm the South and occupy Seoul in 12 hours? Do you know how many US soldiers are in South Korea and if this would happen, they would all die………

We don’t hear it anymore because the media doesn’t like it. They like to keep bringing up Iraq……….Mostly to bash Bush. We don’t even hear about Bosnia anymore………We still have troops over there too…….

WOW…Unreal how that kind of thing can bring so many emotions in such a small amount of time. That relit the burning fire inside as to why I love this country. I can still remember exactly what and where I was when this happened. That is pretty good since sometimes I have a hard time remembering what I did the day before. I am glad we had Mr. Bush as President at the time as he has the guts to take action and not back away from a fight. They wanted a fight, and they got it.
On another note, I saw in the headlines on how we have reached the 1,000 death in the war. It sucks yes, and I feel for each one of those families. But what bothers me is in WWII we lost 50,000 in one day. I think our military is doing a damn good job considering what they are up against. These people are ruthless and intelligent.

Great post! I believe that Osama has assumed room temperature . He had pretty bad kidney problems and dialasis doesn’t work real well in a cave like setting. I think we have seen the last of him .If you look close at the film of him he looks pretty feeble and most of that tape is 2 yrs old. They are trying to keep the legend alive to keep the money flowing in and the mob fired up but I think he is dead . I sure hope he is .

A very sad reminder of house fragil our freedom is when someone has so much hate towards our country. I for one believe when the President said we are coming after you, no matter if you harbor terrorists or are terrorists. I guarantee our previous leader wouldn’t have had the brassies to stand up to the critcism Mr Bush has.

Keep hunting these low lifes down Mr Bush, I don’t ever care to go through those emotions again.

We have not lost site of Osama, and to think that we are not after him or that he is not the focus of our efforts is a joke. Just because you do not see our military efforts on your TV does not mean that we are not after him, and in a big way. Do a little research on the subject. There is no american that would like to see Osama dealt with more than George Bush.

Some times military operations work a lot better when they are not played out on TV daily.

I will go out on a limb and say there has never been a more dedicated and directed effort to get Osama bin laden, than right now. So, lets not discredit all the troops over there doing a fine job.

That is bunk. Quit believing Mr Moore!

That report is the truth. Everything in it is fact. It was written by a pannel of Dems and Republicans. Signed off by both sides as FACT.

Micheal Moore is a lying LOOSER! <<<< Another FACT!

I don’t even know who this guy is. I also could care less. I came up with this myself not from “Michael Moore” I just have a hard time believing that no one got a free ride out without any questions asked. It is just amazing that Osama and most of the funding was/is comming from Saudi Arabia and we are best of friends with them. Very convenient….anyway this is supposed to be a remeberance for the people not finger pointing. I’m not a Dem or Rep….I’m a realist. I vote and stand by people I believe in and what they stand for. I really don’t play the politics game. So I hate to tell everyone again…I’m done posting on this subject just like the Presidential race thread. Sorry for stirring up anything.

    I’ve read the report.

It is very “eye opening”. You can download it on line, if you do not want to purchase the book.

    It is all fact…………..

Quoting the 9/11 report: “Although White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card remembered someone telling him about the Saudi request shortly after 9/11, he said he had not talked to the Saudis and did not ask anyone to do anything about it. The President and Vice President told us they were not aware of the issue at all until it surfaced much later in the media. None of the officials we interviewed recalled any intervention or direction on this from any political appointee.”

I don’t think this totally refutes the alligation. It basically says the President, Vice President and Chief of Staff denied doing anything related to it. And that the other person they interviewed regarding this did not have any knowledge of a political appointee intervening. The funny part is I doubt you’d be willing to believe anything else that “other” person said.

Here is the rest of the information More in depth information

How’s about we leave this thread free of politicking?

It is possible to remember & honor the 9/11 victims and those serving in Iraq without stirring up a hornets nest.

I may be young and not know what I’m talking about here, but I think that the world needs to learn about the United States of Amreica from histoy. Take Pearl Harbor for example by Japans mind set that attack would have killed our pride and will to fight. And yes they did kill a lot of brave Amreicans but they also brought up a feeling inside of every American so great that we came back and kicked their butts. Now the terrorists that attacked the World Trade towers on 9-11 they murdered a lot of people there and we located them and bombed the living daylights out of them. They too brought out the monster underneath us, but they also brought out a new sense of patriotism in this country. It didn’t matter what race we were or if we were a democrat or a republican we came toghther and pulled through the tragedy as one nation, united.
The message here: Don’t mess with the U. S. of A. GOD BLESSED AMERICA AND EVERYONE IN IT.
