    What is the best mapping software available for a Garmin chartplotter . What features should I look for ? Thanks in advance for the feedback .

    Below is a link that will take you to a link to some lake software for Garmin GPS units on Jolly Marine’s site that shows some really good detailed maps. Feel free to contact Wade at Jolly Marine with any questions you may have as he is very helpfull and friendly to wotk with. Free shipping and if you live outside of Iowa you pay no sales tax too.     Bill is right on with the link to the Garmin ProMap . The only other choice for Garmin units for inland lakes is the Garmin Recreational Lake and Fishing Hot Spots Software.

    What you want to do is check the list of lakes to make sure that the lakes you fish are listed for the specific software. If your lake is NOT listed then you will not get very good detail. Feel free to post any questions.
