Is there a good cleaning product on the market or does anyone know a good way to clean up the motor?Something that can put the shine back on or atleast take the water marks off

Pledge furniture polish works great. Read about it in Outdoor News last year and have been using it since, keeps it looking like new!!

CLR works on both the motor and boat. Even takes the scum off the flat boat. Follow up with car wax on the motor.

I have used a product called Nautical Ease Water Spot Remover that was recommended on this site. This is the best product I have ever used for spot removal. When I would come back from Table Rock Lake which is very hard water I just spray on N-Ease and wipe off and the engine cowling and lower unit looks like it has never been in the water.

Half vinegar and half water works. Stinks though

I use a citris based cleaner, cuts through any grease and also removes water and scum marks!

Simple Green left streaks in the green paint of my last boat. (Like it melted the paint) I’d be carefull with that stuff.

The water/vinegar trick works very well to take off hard water spots.

Jon, what’s the mixture ratio for the vinegar and water?

I go a little heavy on the vinegar, say 60/40 rather than 50/50.
