Here are a couple of pics of the boys’ walleyes they caught off the dock. It was hard to get them in the boat after this. We had a great time and are booking another trip for next year. We did good for our first time up. The quality of the walleyes are outstanding. The weather was fair, lots of wind put the fish in 3-8′ of water on the windblown side right up next to the rocks. I improved my boat control.

Took 3 trips in 4 years back in the early 90’s, to the EarFalls end of the lake, Is the 18″ -21″ slot still valid?? may have to think about another trip up there.lots of different areas to fish. Jack.

I had a co-worker go up their earlier this summer in June. They did awesome!! He said they caught 150-200 fish in his boat for the week. Most were 21-26″ They even had a couple of 30″ in the boat. I’m gonna go next year with them. They have had two great years up there.

My son, daughter and I went there in August of 2002. Despite the month is was easy to catch over 100 Walleyes a day. We stayed at Mahkwa Lodge which is one of the few resorts on the South side of the lake, perhaps because some of Lac Suel is an Indian reservation.

The Walleyes were fun, but the best part of the trip was catching Northern in the 12lb to 20lb class. We caught several, including two around 20lb, all except one on Topwater baits.

Bottom line is the price was reasonable and at 58 years of age this was easily the best fishing trip of my life.

On the other hand my son said it was to easy, so in 2003 we went to Rainy Lake and fished the Minnesota side, again in August. Good fishing, but nothing I have experienced compares to Lac Suel.
