Apparently these guys are taking Father’s Day off or the COE doesn’t work Sundays. Red Wing got 3.5 inches let alone all the water that was dropped in the Minnesota and Mississippi drainage areas north and west.

What does the COE have to do with the National Weather Service

I seldom watch down stream of the Red Wing gauge, but I’ve found the forecasts from the National Weather Service are updated late in the day on Sundays routinely.

Downtown St paul. Good news is the walleyes where still biting pretty good yesterday. Seem to be getting set up in their high water spots.

My thoughts exactly. By the way, most of the COE DO WORK SUNDAYS.

    Work on Sundays??

My cousin works with the COE…oh never mind. She’ll hurt me if I pick on her.

I’m kinda surprised. The level of the river, using my non-scientific method of reading in front of my camper, shows the water rose very little if any last night.

The normally clear Trimbele looks a little on the chocolate side though.

When the sun comes out, I’m going to sit on the picnic table in front of the camper just to say I did it once this year…since I’m not working.

Ya this much rain is a little on the extreme side, i’d settle for a few showers here and there do you need a boat to get to the picnic table

They already updated the Wabasha page to minor flooding so whoever prepares the data does have to work on Sundays…

    They read Ido too.

Now the Trembelle makes the Mississippi look like a pristine trout stream.

I should get out there and snap a photo. By tomorrow morning there’s going to be a completely different waterscape.
