In todays world good customer service is unusual and great customer service is rare but there should be another level beyond that—–treats you like family!!!!!!!!! Steve and Kari at Evert’s take customer service to a level that is just unheard of by todays standards. I spent last Thursday thru Sunday at Evert’s and even though the fishing was on the tough side it was a great experience. Where can you stay where the barges come by within throwing distance—the eagles entertain you and the company around the campfire is enough to make it so you never want to leave. I know the praises of Evert’s have been sang here numerous times but it is all true and more. Kari puts the “K” in Kustomer service. She knew I was on a schedule trying to figure out the bite and she told me to call and she would have whatever bait I needed ready when I walked into the baitshop. Steve is working to stay on the bite and has the latest information. I have to admit my favorite part of the weekend was coming off the dock after a rough day and hearing this little voice yell out “Hi Redneck”!!!!!!!!!!!
Their boy Jimmy is my buddy and has a life most of us only dream about. Right now the walleye bite is slow but there are fish to be caught—if you get in the boat with the right person anyway—thanks Son!!! The water should start dropping pretty quick and then the walleye bite is going to be gangbusters. There are channel catfish biting now–whether you want them or not. Out of a long weekend I only saw BK one morning so don’t let the BK sightings scare you off Thanks again Steve and Kari for a wonderful time I can’t wait for the next time I come down the hill because it truly feels like going home every time I pull in.

Thanks to you too Rich, its nice to have the “normal” people come around too…although BK is rarely seen during daylight hours this time of year but watch out…if you sit by the fire long enough he does eventually make his appearance….
We try to keep the best bait and best selection we can. This yr has been harder than normal due to the crazy winter. James loves to “chat up” the fisherman and learn the names…hes pretty good at remembering too.
Thanks for your support and friendship! And CONGRATS on the Big WIN!!!

I was starting to pick up some vibes…so I had to go to the Walleye Tourney Forum….

    From Redneck:

I was in shock after the tournament and have no idea who I talked to. My boy and I have been fishing tournaments for many years now and this is the first win for us as a team and his first victory. Funny thing is this tournament was the first one we ever fished and I have fished it every year since he was 12 or so. He missed a couple years for his military commitment but otherwise he has been there about every year. I walked around with tears in my eyes when I figured out we had really won it.
I thought the start was the slickest thing I have seen in a long time. I hope it is the same next year!!!! The meal afterwards was great as usual and the trophy was very cool!!! Everyone who saw it was very impressed.

    Congrats Sir and Son Sir!

He is an over the road trucker and between that and Army Reserve he is a very busy boy!!! He pops in here once in a while and is on the river every chance he gets. He is quite the young man but he’ll alway be “the boy” to me
