Skipped the Rain on Saturday but did get out on Sunday.

Interesting Boat Ramp experience. They are more serious than ever about the spot checking and going thru your boat on the ramp. Good to see but it really slows down the launching.

Lots of guys on Harriet for the Musky opener. Muskies were still shallow and appear to be spawning or just post spawn. Same with the Bass.

Took my 5 and 3 year old boys with me and I have to say – WOW!!!!! I think I have a couple of pretty fun little fishing buddies. No one fell in and my 5 year old is now very capable and caught 7 fish on his own – biggest going 3 lbs.

The two of them had about 15 fish going in and out of the live well as they really enjoy the entire process. “Daddy, the fish like riding in the boat with us so the Musky fish don’t eat them”
We caught about 30 – had a few big ones and many jump and shake off the worm. Jig worm was working well in about 5 feet of water – throw it out and let it sit.

The 3 year old unpacked and played with a couple of the tackle boxes / all the soft plastics and was very good with the honking of the horn. His favorite fish were the smaller ones.

The fish were very cooperative and it was nice the Mom packed a lot of snacks and a couple of cold ones for Daddy.

Even witnessed a few raisin smugglers along the jogging path. Good thing I was wearing my Costa Del Mar glasses.

    Spectacular Day!!!!

My nephew went to Calhoun to “paddle board” yesterday. Pretty sure he wore his sun glasses too.

Brilliant if parking weren’t such a hassle.

Which is one of the reasons I passed…that and yard work/gardening.
