Ok the rain and thunder woke me up, but the pea size hail on the tin roof made get up and look around.

Weather Radio said “heavy rain may aggravate already high rivers.” No kidding Sherlock!

    What’s the photo?

Taken from my front window, through the screen of a North bound tow heading to Lock #3. Yeah, it’s pouring.

Woke to thunder , lightning & rain around 5. No barge though. Snow is still worse than rain but it is getting tiresome.

On the other hand, White Bear Lake is rising. Aqua fir is being replenished.

“SNAKES” will be looking for high ground. “DECKS” close to the water are a nice high and dry area.

Better leave the door closed Brian, or take the top bunk tonight.

Other then 1 year it flooded this is the wettest year in the 20 years i’ve lived here. There is almost NO corn planted which means higher gas & food prices to come. Not to mention more high water headed south.

I’ve been up since 4:45…and yes, this is the first peek at IDO.

The dog roused me and when I saw flashes through the side of the shades I was up and at em. Unfortunately it took another 2 hours or so to get any good flashes and rumbles near us.

Brian, I hope the camper is anchored!

All crops are in 100 miles south of you and in the much more fertile soil. The contribution to the season’s crop of land from the Twin Cities and north is not even a blip on the national crop radar.

That may be mathematically true, but THEY will tell us otherwise to justify high prices…..

Some of those people were getting cited by the DNR for killing the exosed weeds after a couple years of no water. A lot of nice sand volleyball courts!

Here is what is heading your way from West of you in Jordan, MN., the River Gauge. We added another 0.50″ in last 24 hoursv enough rain already for a couple weeks.

We like roof racks for a few hours on an interesting logging road. Just left Grand Marais and things are looking mightly right side up with very mile passed.

FYI, Superior has perfect stone throwing conditions right now

Try fishing in that stuff for a couple hours—it was no fun and I can confirm that my guidewear leaks after enough time in blowing sheets of rain. The good news is we survived all the lightning. That is the worst I have fished in for a while.
