What’s that you say? It’s not good? Just remember, it could be worse.
Worse how? Like global warming?
Where are James’ pics from last July of ice on superior?

Ice out on the 4th of July!
Keep it classy James.
Matt, even if it happens every year, it still could be worse. That could be the marina where your boat is at.
Time for Deep Thoughts with Mplspug
The other day I was thinking life is too short. Then I realized all the free time I spend not doing anything and now I wonder if it is too long.
Just think about it. Its neither morbid or negative.
Diuturniora in omni copia!
Lol, sure looks like it. Opener this year, Central Minnesota, there was a boat pulling a big tube with kids riding on it.

Is that a jet ski I see in the upper right photo???
I thought it was a snowmobile skipping open water……..
Actually, I was thinking it couldn’t be better. This is the benefit of June ice.
Yes, that is me fishing next to the ice breaker.
12-year-old Athena Orchard died of terminal cancer on May 28th. Just after that sad event, her family discovered a heartfelt note that she wrote on the back of a mirror, urging them to “make the most of every day,” reports Metro.
“Every day is special, so make the most of it,” she wrote.
Her father, Dean, who found the message a few days after his daughter passed away, said he was “blown away” by her ability to her positive message in the face of imminent death.
“She never mentioned it, but it’s the kind of thing she’d do,” he told the Leicester Mercury. “I started reading it but before long I had to stop because it was too much, it was heartbreaking.”
Athena died of osteosarcoma, a common form of bone cancer.
PIC FROM CATERS NEWS – (PICTURED: Athena just before Christmas) – A 12-year-old girl who died following a battle with cancer left a heart-wrenching secret message hidden on the back of her mirror. Athena Orchard, died last Wednesday (May 28) after losing her fight with the terminal disease. Just days after her death, Athenas dad Dean was stunned to discover a giant heartfelt note written in marker pen on the back of his daughters mirror. The message was written after Athena was diagnosed with cancer – which she discovered after finding a tiny lump on her head in December last year. Before she died, she penned the lengthy message which remained undiscovered until days after her death.
Lines from the back of the mirror:
Happiness depends upon ourselves.
Maybe it’s not about the happy ending, maybe it’s about the story.
The purpose of life is a life of purpose.
The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra. Happiness is a direction not a destination.
Thank you for existing. Be happy, be free, believe, forever young.
You know my name, not my story.
You have heard what I’ve done, but not what I’ve been through.
Love is like glass, looks so lovely, but it’s easy to shatter.
Love is rare, life is strange, nothing lasts and people change.
Every day is special, so make the most of it. You could get a life-ending illness tomorrow so make the most of every day.
Life is only bad if you make it bad.
If someone loves you then they wouldn’t let you slip away no matter how hard the situation is.
Remember that life is full of ups and downs, without the downs the ups don’t mean anything.
I’m waiting to fall in love with someone I can open my heart to.
Love is not about who you can see spending your future with it’s about who you can’t see spending your life without.
Life is a game for everyone but love is the only prize.
Just saw that today and it reminded me of my post yesterday.
