    Steve

You up on Lake of the Woods? If memory serves you take an annual trip up there this time of the year. I fished LOTW out of Warroad Thursday and Friday this last week for pike and got into some giants. What was working for you guys? I’ll have a report up from that trip tomorrow. Thanks for the update.

That’s a lot of slime. That was my first thought to.

    Looks like a nice meal.

    Because there’s less owls.

Your group will be eating well tonight.

Me? I’m having Johnsonville brats with dices onion and cilantro.

    I agree!
Not very often that I get to eat a northern any more but but back when we went to Canada, we ate all the pike we could. Never bothered bringing any fish back just had fun and ate them while we were there.
We caught & ate plenty of walleyes also but the last couple trips, it was the pike we favored for eating the most.

    Nice catch Steve!

Yes in deed James!! Every year since 1972!!! Lots of northern trolling Spinners in the weeds. At one time today Ken and I were hooking about one every one and a half to two minuets. Not all were landed of course.. About as much fun as you can have with your pants on. Getting some real nice walleye but the are slow. Ice just went out 2 weeks ago.

Weather is in the 70’s now.
