Some High Schools take them for their tech classes. The school that comes to my mind is Como Park HS in St. Paul…

When my truck died last spring, I donated it to Newgate School right beside 280 and University in Mpls.

They use the donations for their vocational program to teach young and disadvantaged folks the auto service trades. The vehicles provide experience and then the resale provides the tuition for the students to make it possible for them to go to school.

You get the max allowed tax deduction as Newgate is a charity.

They will pick up dead vehicles in the metro area.

Grouse, just hung up with them and got it all lined up. Sounds like a good system. I’ve heard them advertised on KSTP.

    Thanks!

Talk to your local fire department. Junk cars are a great for training with the jaws of life or other tools they may have. Who knows it may help save a life

Any local charities would work well. It can be good to help the people in your area.

If you are looking for more options – http://www.usedcardonate.com has a list of charities including ones such as the salvation army as well as rules on applicable tax laws that can help you decide.
