5/4. The interview was in Moscow. Of course he has excuses. It finally set in that he is no longer welcome in the USA.

Traitor – How can we allow low level operatives like Snowden, Bradley Manning, Daniel Ellsburg et al deciding what secret info to release. How can these people possibly know what damage they may cause? Who’s life they are endangering? Also, did not all these people agree or swear to keep their mouth shuts in order to get their jobs?

I did not see the interview—I have no desire to hear anything the scum has to say unless they are his dying words. He is in the same category as Hanoi jane in my book and that is about a low as a human can possibly be.

I didn’t watch the interview either. I’ve seen enough of him in the newspapers and on the news already.

So the government would have no reason to go after this guy? He exposed the illegal spying on the American people. Does that count for anything?

BTW, I’m not saying he is innocent. I’m just saying the government is up to it’s eyeballs in lies and deceit.

when I was in my 20’s and 30’s most the world was clearly black and white … since I turned 50 so much has blurred and there seems to be a lot more gray

Oh it’s black and white. Since 9/11 and the Patriot Act the United States government has taken more liberties away from their citizens then nearly any other country. We are very near a police state.

“Just listen to us, we are the government. We know what is best for you, the constitution is wrong. We are here to help you.” I watched it…. I am interested to see the emails he sent prior…

    Is this Edwards brother?

Didn’t the revelations about the domestic spying they are doing come from what he did? I’ve also heard that although he stole millions of pages of top secret info, they don’t “think” he has released any of it to anyone. Wait, I think what I heard is he has not released it to any government, but some journalists are sifting through it?

He gave it to a documentary producer and some lady….. journalist maybe. He stated that he did not enter the Soviet Union with any of the information at all. He has it stashed someplace where if he was tortured (by the Soviets or the United States) he couldn’t give it up. Seems strange, but for a high school drop out the guy is pretty sharp.

I watched the entire interview and found him to be very well spoken. I came away with a greater appreciation for the strength of his convictions.

I for one beleive that the NSA among other agencies have been running our constitutional rights through a meat grinder. For those of you who give the government a blessing or a pass on this breach of the constitution just remember that your firearms may well be next on the list.

There are a lot of extremely intelligent and savvy drop outs. I guess it depends if you drop out because you are dumb, aren’t wired for the standard indoctrination or are bored because it isn’t challenging enough.

That I completely agree with. What the NSA was doing was absolutely wrong.
and for Snowden to be a whistleblower would be patriotic
HOWEVER, there are much better ways to go about it than how he did … thus the gray area

He stated that he sent numerous emails to his superiors, (which would have been the better way) pointing out the issues and transgressions against us as citizens of the US, and they mostly agreed there was a problem. Then they proceeded to do nothing…

That is one thing I am concerned about

This administration seems very keen on trying to strip us of our gun rights The thing that get’s me is that the criminals are still going to get their hands on guns no matter what. The second thing we need to do is to get more help to those people with mental health issues. I don’t think we take mental health serious enough in this country

I didn’t see the interview. I followed the story briefly when it first broke but not at all since. I am hoping he is not helping other countries with intelligence info. The fact he brought to light the US government is spying on its own people and all of the BIG companies forced to involve, while never being allowed to admit it…. I would say he is a hero. The government will trash him to death because he hurt them so badly. My biggest concern is what else he knows…. Imagine having another countries government “protect” you… its not because they like him it’s because they will use “spy tactics” and continue to draw information out of him, thus the US wants him Dead. I can’t say for national security reasons they would be wrong in doing so. To sum it up I guess death to a true American patriot willing to throw the man that signs his weekly checks under the bus for the greater good of the people. Dam now I will have to watch that interview….

I am not worried about guns being taken…. when they knock on your door and demand your firearms, when you have done nothing wrong…. we know what that will lead to. America will follow suit.
There are very few officers that would go door to door and take weapons from law abiding citizens. I believe its Connecticut where all citizens are to REGISTER rifles and high capacity magazines… I think the numbers are something like 2.4 million un-registered by the due date and 38000 magazines/guns have been registered. If they are going to take guns they will start in Connecticut using this law thats already in effect but no one is following.

Who else would have a problem with the government not only listening to your calls, but powering up your phone, taking copies of your photos, your emails, your contacts, your browsing habits.. etc…etc…etc… without a warrant of any kind by the way.

He could have spilled this info and stayed right here to defend his actions. That would have made him somewhat honorable. Doing what he did and then hiding in Russia, that makes him the filthiest form of traitor this country can dream up. He made his bed, he can sleep in it.

That kind of stuff happens when the government revolves your passport. BTW, why did they wait until he got to Russia to revoke it?

They didn’t. Our government actually revoked his passport while he was still in China. (he was on the run already)

China mysteriously allowed him to fly on despite the revoked passport.

After arriving in Russia with no passport and the world knowing the U.S. wanted him back, no other country would take him.
