Trying Suffix 832 this year. I like the sensitivity so far. I don’t like when I get stuck or need to cut the line. I have been able to usually pull it free. What do you guys use to cut it. The nail clippers I got from [censored]’ doesn’t do the best job at it.

Miller Kevlar Shears. Any low voltage supplier of fiber optics will have them.

Holding the line tight and just about any scissors or clippers will cut it.

For snags use a short piece of old broom handle, etc. to wrap the line around a couple times so that you can pull the line to free it or break it. You may get the lure back, or at least the line will probably break further down than if you cut it so you’re not leaving as much braided line in the water for everyone to get snagged on….

A simple little retractable wallpaper knife, the ones with the small snap off razor blades is my favorite. They cost about 75 cents.

These pliers are only $8 and the best I have ever used. There is a serrated cutting edge that makes very clean cuts. You dont even have to apply tension to the line to make a perfectly clean cut. You can also lock them when they are closed so you dont have to worry about cutting holes in your pockets.

Just bought some 832 from FF and they had a pair of scissors included.I guess some sort of promotion. I have the Rapala scissor now that I bought when I started using Fire Line and they work really good. The new ones seem to work as good. Not all the packages had them, so you might have to dig.

Love my Boomerang cutters. Work great for cutting braid knots off jigs.

Boomerang all the way, and you don’t need to hold the line tight.
