This weekend my family was staying at Everts Resort,I didn’t take my boat due to the lack of parking because of the high water,so as the kids were playing with Steve and Kari”s son James I would go fishing off the walk across bridge to the dock.

Everything was going just fine and having fun catching keeper walleyes throwing a Rippin Rap up stream and working it back then I hooked into A Big northern, after I released it I must not have cleaned my hands enough and when I casting it out next time my rod slipped out of my hands and went right in the river

The rod was a custom made LEX 6’10 paired with a Shimano Ci4($450-$500 value),4 or 5 of us tried to retrieve it but had NO luck,So I cried hard inside and moved on with life.

    Here is the lucky part…

Tim Miller and I were out fishing in his boat today and I recieved a text from the FW,it said … “does this look familiar ?” OMG I said to myself, she goes on to say she caught it while fishing of the dock, A good cleaning and it will be a good as new.

I am blessed(tho I gave up on looking for it) she gave it a try and found it.

    Thanks HONEY Muah !!!!!

    Fishing was GREAT also

Had she not been so quick with the txt message…WE would have had a little fun prior to giving it back.

It was a good weekend for fish, weather and good times.

I can’t believe with all the stuff the guys were throwing to try to snag it that none of them managed, (picture about 4 guys up on the walk across and 1 or two trolling underneath, but yet I was just messing around and came up with it the next day. VERY glad I did though, he was NOT a happy camper when it happened.
