So my Vantage 80 will not allow me to raise the arrow cap and turn 180 degrees to change it from back troll to going straight. I was able to do this last year. No accident or anything, not sure what is up.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

check to make sure you have 12 volt to motor, theres a 12 and 36 volt to the motor, 12 raises and lowers it and turns i beleive

I am able to raise and lower the motor no problem

The problem is that I am unable to manually life the top cap and rotate it 180 degrees so that I change the direction of the propeller from back troll to forward.

    Does that make sense?

Just went and messed with mine. Make sure the arrow is point straight back, motor is in the up position, then slide the thumb button and pull the top up and rotate 180 degrees. Outside of that not sure what to tell ya.

i ended up taking mine apart and found that a aluminum casting was hanging a part up and not allowing it to raise. i am a machinist so i was able to machine it my self, they did not allow for enough clearance. if im not mistaken i thought that there was a recall on the part i fixed but i could be wrong. if you want more details pm me.
