Speed kills. Wish Fontaine would have buried one of those 2 chances.

Good luck! If the Kings get passed the Ducks, I’ll be rooting for the Kings, otherwise I’ll root for the Hawks.

Wild played well last night, probably outplayed the Hawks. They’ll be a team to reckon with going forward.

    Go Hawks

I agree Haas, I am a Hawks fan but that was a great game that either team could have won. Both goalies were awesome!

Really a tough loss last night. Always bitter when the puck luck works for the other team. The way that puck just dribbled out there in front with Brz out of the goal so far…

It’s small consolation, but I think the national pundits have it wrong with the Hawks when everyone is parroting that line that they aren’t as good as last year’s team. I think the Wild were being vastly under-rated in this series and if you look at the last two games both being 2-1, the Wild are a much tougher opponent than they’re being given credit for.

Tough loss for the Wild, but there are going to be some off season moves that will make them even better next year. Vanek is totally going to be wearing a Wild sweater next season and hopefully that’s just the start.

Agree, the way the Wild played in game four is some of the best hockey I’ve ever seen.

That’s what comes with success. Teams get respect and hype. I wouldn’t dare say that I think the Wild as good as the Hawks, Blue, Avs, Ducks, Kings, because people will scoff at that. Why? Because the Wild haven’t accomplished anything yet. Its a intangible that I guess is deserved, you need to have success to earn respect.

Still, I look at us as being one of the deepest teams in the league, quite a jump from just a few years ago, heck a year ago.

Take the top 4 players off the Wild and the Hawks and look at the roster. Tell which team you would rather have.

The problem is it isn’t even close when you look at the top 4. This is Toews and Kane’s time of year and Sharp and Hossa are damn good too.

    That one stings!

Hate to see your season end on a crappy bounce like that. They have to do something with that glass. We can put a man on the moon but we cant have seamless glass?

It was awesome playoff hockey and great extra 13 games, it will definitly be enough to keep you excited for next year!

Charlie Coyle was playing with 2 separated shoulders and Nate Prosser had a broken finger. Russo also speculates that we will hear that Pomminville was playing injured.

And Joe Mauer sits out with a hangnail.

Wow. You mean you didn’t see the Habs winning that series?

C’mon Pug, show some love for our man Vanek. As soon as the Habs are done, he’s on the first plane to Minnesota. You know it makes sense.

I normally bounce President trophy winners in my predictions. But I felt that Boston was veteran enough and been there enough to not let it affect them. And I thought finishing runner up last year would be enough incentive.

The Habs are over-achieving, but over-achieving at the right time I guess.

I’d be careful counting your Vanek egg before it hatches. I don’t know how much cap room they are going to have down the road. He’ll want a long contract and does the Wild want to tie up all that money in another old vet?
