Are stringers illiegal?

    I have heard rumors that stringers are illiegal. Can anyone verify this, or is it not real.

    ALthough I don’t have the regs in front of me I cannot imagine this to be true as long as you don’t have illegal fish on it.

    Stringers might not be illegal but they are not a great idea, especially in warm water, in a boat, in summer.

    Unless you like white, stiff, mushy walleyes.

    Never, ever, ever cull off a stringer.

    or you will do like I have done numerous times. I have taken off and forgot that the stringer was still over the side of the boat. lost 3 nice fish once doing that.
