I was in the mood to tie up some more spinner rigs to get ready for FY14 open water season. Instead of just beads, I added on these skirts to give more by and color to the spinner rig. I think they look pretty good and should do well. What do you think of my modifications to the traditional spinner rig?

I know a good number of guys that run the rubber squids on the harnesses on Winnebago and Green bay and swear by them. They look good.

Very nicely done. At the very least,…they sure look good to a fisherman! Don’t be afraid of using a slow death hook with a ringworm plain this time of year or with a spinner in the front later in the summer.

I tied about 2 dozen maribou hooks for spinners and lindy rigs this week.

I lived in WA for over 10 years. I’ve fished the Columbia and Snake rivers. They hold some of the biggest walleyes in the United States. My go to spinner rig was a blade with a hole in it. It churns up the water quite a bit and to me it mimics a school of baitfish with all the bubbles.
